Visa Requirements for Palestinian Citizens
Palestinian citizens must have a visa to enter Qatar. The right visa depends on your reason for travel. Your options include several types such as the Tourist Visa (A1) or the GCC Resident Visa (A2), and the Transit Visa. However, due to the political situation, some visas are not available. Palestinians cannot get an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA). A standard eVisa is also not an option.
Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) and eVisa
An eTA is a faster option but is only available for certain travelers. You need a valid visa or residency from specific countries to qualify, such as the USA, UK, Canada, or Australia. Palestinian citizens are not eligible for an eTA. Additionally, the Hayya platform does not process Qatar eVisa requests for Palestinians.

- show proof of your hotel booking in Qatar. An invitation letter from a sponsor also works,
- you must have travel health insurance covering all medical costs and repatriation.
Application Procedures
Online Application (Hayya Platform)
Qatar uses the Hayya platform for many visa services. You can create an account and upload files there. However, this platform cannot be used by Palestinians. You cannot apply for an eVisa through this system.
Embassy Application
You must apply through the Qatar Embassy in Egypt. Submit your forms and all documents there. The embassy might request an interview, and you will pay visa fees directly to them.
Avoiding Common Problems
Visa rejections can happen, often due to simple mistakes. Double-check your application forms for any errors. Make sure all your documents are complete and consistent. An expired passport will cause an automatic denial. Providing proof of funds can also strengthen your case.
