You must submit the correct documents for a Qatar e-Visa application. All applications are managed through the Hayya portal. While document needs vary by visa, some are always required. For example, you need a valid passport and a photo, you also need a return flight ticket, proof of accommodation is required too.
Passport Validity
Your passport must be valid for at least six months from your arrival date. This is very important. Official rules might suggest three months. However, most airlines enforce the stricter six-month rule. An invalid passport often leads to your application being denied.
Passport-Sized Photograph
You need a recent digital photo. It must be 5cm by 5cm. The background must be white. In addition, it must have high resolution and no shadows. Your photo must meet all standard biometric specifications to be approved.
Flight Tickets
Return Flight Ticket
You must provide a confirmed return flight ticket. It needs to show your name and all the booking details. Make sure the departure date is within your visa’s validity period.
Onward Flight Ticket
An onward flight ticket is also valid proof. This is for travelers who are just passing through Qatar. For example, an approved airline itinerary works for this requirement.
Accommodation Proof
Hotel Reservations
You must show proof of where you will stay. Confirmed hotel reservations are a great option. The booking needs to clearly show your name, the hotel’s details, and confirmation number. For a Visa on Arrival, you need a Discover Qatar hotel booking. You must present this booking upon entry.
Host Confirmation
If you are staying with a resident, you need host confirmation. Your host provides this via the Hayya portal. They must attach their Qatar ID and property documents. For instance, a property deed or a lease agreement is required. Without this, your application cannot proceed.
Travel Health Insurance
Travel health insurance is needed for long stays. If your visit is longer than 30 days, you must get it. You must buy a policy from an approved insurance provider. The Qatar Ministry of Public Health provides a list of these companies.
