Qatar Visa for Tunisian Citizens
A1 Tourist Visa for Tunisian Citizens
Visiting Qatar for tourism? Tunisians need the A1 Tourist Visa. This visa grants a 30-day stay. You can also extend it once for another 30 days. However, you must enter Qatar within 90 days of its issue date. The visa is only valid for that period.
You must apply through the Hayya platform. This is the only way. For example, you will need several key documents. Provide a valid Tunisian passport with over six months’ validity. Also include a digital photo. In addition, you need return flight tickets and proof of accommodation.
The visa fee is about QAR 100, approximately 27 US dollars. Processing time is quick, often taking three to five business days. Qatar issues the approved visa online; remember to print it for your arrival.
Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA)
Do you have a valid foreign visa? An Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) might be an option. For example, a valid US visa or UK visa qualifies you. So does a Canadian visa or residency permit. This ETA allows a 30 days stay. Plus, its approval is often faster.
To get an ETA, you apply on the Hayya platform. You must upload your Tunisian passport. Provide a photo and proof of your foreign visa or residency. ETA processing time is very fast, usually one to three business days. However, the ETA fee can change; check the Hayya portal for the latest cost.
Application Process on the Hayya Platform
The application steps are similar for both visas. You must complete them on the Hayya platform.
- First, create your Hayya platform account,
- then, choose your visa type (A1 or ETA),
- fill out the application form carefully,
- upload all your required documents,
- pay the visa fee online with a card,
- track your application’s status online,
- finally, download and print your visa.
Visa Requirements for Tunisian Citizens
Here is what you will need to provide:

Visa Extension Policy
Need to stay longer? You can get a visa extension. Both the A1 visa and ETA allow one 30-day extension. However, you must apply for it. This process is done via the Hayya platform. You must also pay an additional fee.
Role of Qatari Embassy and Consulate
For complex issues, contact the Qatari embassy. The Qatari consulate in Tunisia can also help. They can confirm requirements for you. For example, they assist with unique situations. They also share updates on policy changes for Tunisians.
